Old: Fiancee was told that she has not seen me enough and they have to review the case, so go and check the website in a day or week or month or 4 months.

Local US CIS Office Review: Portland OR
Review Topic: cis_topic
Event Description
Review Date : September 30, 2015
Embassy Review : Our interview was today 09.29.2015 at 1315. We gathered all the paperwork that showed both of our names on them the week before and had them ready to go for the interview. We got to the office at 12:45 (exactly 30 min before as the form stated) we checked in and were told to go upstairs and wait for our name to be called. Golbarg was called in and I went along with her at about 1315.

At first the Immigration Officer (IO) asked for both of our IDs and quickly reviewed them and asked if this was our current address. Next she told Golbarg that the next few questions are for her and then she will ask about the two of us. She opened her i-485 form to the questions page and directly asked about 7-10 questions from the list and added "Have you voted or attempted to vote in the US?" and "Have you ever been a US Citizen before?"and "Have you been arrested since you submitted this form". All of Golbarg's answers as before were "No". Next she opened it up and looked at our form and said "Oh you two met on facebook I see" and from that point I took over and answered things about how we met. Next she asked if we had any bills or statements showing both of our names. I took all utility bills, insurance documents, and other items we had and handed them to her along with our trip information to CA. She asked what we did in California and after we explained that we went to Disneyland and it was Golbarg's first time the IO said well everything is great and you guys are approved, the green card should arrive in the next 7-10 days if you dont receive it by then please contact us. We said thank you and went out happy!

The whole process took maybe 10 minutes and the IO was very nice!
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
