Event Description
Review Date : May 2, 2014
Embassy Review : I had the same experience as most of the other vj users. Just follow guides and instructions and you should be good.
1: Went early and was 3rd in line. Airport security no bags allowed to so don't take a chance.
2: Downstairs room wait for elevator, 19th floor, tickets based on the immigrant/non immigrant visas. I got 2nd Ticket for Immigrant Visa.
3: Sit in Immigrant visa seating or any where wait for your number to called to get documents and finger printing done. No issues there as everything was up to date. A good idea will be take recent pictures like a day or two earlier. I was asked for recent pictures. I sent sent my pictures in January of this year with rest of the civil documents. I said they are the recent one that I have and she accepted them.
4: Then wait for interview. Routine stuff oath and finger printing again. Where you met and how you manage your relationship between US and Canada.
5: Long story short was conditionally approved visa and given G221 (even though G221 says denied visa).
6: I arranged for the documents they were looking for and sent them back by loomis along with passports on Wednesday.
7: Now its waiting game I guess. Am not sure how many days it will take for the visa to be issues and passport sent back. If anyone have sent back G221 to Montreal recently can you inform me how many days it took them to get the passports with visa issued. Hope this ends soon.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
