Consulate Review: Guangzhou, China
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 27, 2007
Embassy Review : The consulate asked only three questions before granting her a K1 visa, what is your fiance's name, how many times did he come to China to see you and where does he get his money? Perhaps the best part was that she only spent a few minutes at the window, it was fast. In fact, it was so fast when she turned around after passing everybody that was waiting for their interview clapped and smiled. Obviously, that brought a huge smile to my little ladies face. The interviewer, an American male who spoke fluent Mandarin, was very polite and courteous. Every detail went smoothly for us so we have no complaints whatsoever with the consulate in Guangzhou.

POE Review: Newark
Event Description
Entry Date : 2007-01-29
Embassy Review : Immigration personnel were friendly and helpful. We entered POE together and processed passports but we were separated shortly while SO showed sealed envelope and got I-94 stapled to passport.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
