Fake checklist received on 15th Sept:
"The NVC has received the requested DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa Application. However, we are still
waiting for the response to the checklist letter for the Affidavit of Support. Please return the requested
information so that we may complete your case."

Called on 22nd September and agent at NVC confirmed that it was indeed a false checklist and the case was approved at NVC on 17th September. They asked to call them again early in October to find out the scheduled date for the interview.

30th September: Did my medical at Knightsbridge Doctors in advance as I anticipate to have the interview scheduled for November or December and don't want to wait extra week for the medical results to be sent to US Embassy.

8th October: Interview Letter received

4th November: Interview date at US Embassy in London!

Interview approved!

A week later collected my passport and visa package envelope from courier company (near Chancery Lane), and flew to US on 20th Nov. At customs I was given stamp on the inlay visa page which grants 1yr residency. SSN should arrive within 10-15 days (I selected this option, in case of any delay I will go to SS office). Green card should arrive within 1-3 months.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
