Event Description

Embassy Review : my interview was on August 29th 2013. It wasn't as I imagined it was going to be! my appointment was at 8 ,I was there before 7 ,I was called to the window at about 8:15 and a lady took some of the many documents that I had gathered and returned the rest back to me( SHE DIDN'T TAKE ANY OF THE HUNDRED PICTURES or EMAILS AND PHONE BILLS and itinerary receipts THAT I HAD PRINTED OUT) then they asked me to go and pay the fee and then the fingerprints, and then I had to wait for about 30 more minutes.then another lady called me to another window and asked me 3 QUESTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!how did you meet? how long have you known each other?how many times have you seen each other? and then asked me to register online for courier to get my passport back in 3 days! THAT WAS IT!!! I was out of the embassy before 9:30!!!I was busy gathering interview documents for more than 3 months and they just took a couple of papers.... when I got back to the hotel I was so nervous and the lady hadn't told me if I had passed or not so I kept reading reviews on VJ and I came across a link that someone had posted where I could check my visa status online and at midnight when I was so desperate I tried to check my status with no hope ,I was SURPRISED AND SHOCKED when I saw my status ,I couldn't believe my eyes... my visa was issued on the same day ...... and it was finally oveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer I got my passport back after 3 days and I was in the US 5 days after the interview
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
