Embassy Review : NOT EVERYONE WOULD READ MY LONG REVIEW, BUT PLEASE ONE BIG POINT, WHEN ASKED FOR YOUR DOCUMENTS BY THE FIRST EMB STAFF AT THE WINDOW, PLEASE GIVE ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS INCLUDING YOUR EVIDENCE, SOME COs WILL NOT ASK TO SEE EVIDENCE DURING THE INTERVIEW, DONT HOLD ON TO THEM FOR THE INTERVIEW, THE CO LOOKS AT THEM BEFORE THE INTERVIEW! ALSO NOTE, DURING THE INTERVIEW, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CONVINCE CO, SAY EVERYTHING, DONT ANSWER 'YES' OR 'NO' AND SHUTUP ...KEEP TALKING TO MAKE YOUR POINTS WHY RELATIONSHIP MUST BE BELIEVED TO BE REAL!

ok, so in general my experience with the emb was good.
i got there close to 7am, i had read here people wait at the roundabout and rush when called, so when i got there, i sat close to the queuing area, after about 15minutes of waiting we were signalled to come form a queue, i walked quickly joined the queue and we showed our appointment letters.
the lady in front of me only had her NOA2 in her hand, and she was told by the receptionist she's supposed to email the emb, wow i thought ...and sighed thank God for visajourney.
i also knew what items one cant get in so i already had my cell phone and other nonpermissible items in a small bag and handed it in for keeping while others were now listening to instructions as to what to do.
i went in with my backpack of primary documents and secondary documents (evidence) in a polybag in my hand, it was huuuge.
receptionist inside took appointment letter and asked us to sit in two groups, niv applicants and iv applicants.
so i sat, then i was called to a window by a lady and asked to submit my documents, so i did, while she was arranged them, taking out those she didnt need, i had my letters of intent and i asked do i submit the letters of intent?
she replied; "all documents" ...so i handed them in, as she continued arranging them. the evidence was leaning by my leg, i looked at them and what she said (all documents) was resounding in my head ...so i was wondering if i should submit the evidence too, bcos i had read on vj the CO asks for pictures and other evidence during the interview, i decided to ask her, do i add my evidence, she replied; "all documents" ...so i handed them in, i was soo happy i did bcos i realised taking them away would have been a mistake.
i had my skype records in an arc file, this didnt fit through the window as much as i tried, then i asked if i should take them out of the file, she replied "yes", so i did, and handed those over, then i had comb binded my whatsapp records, so that was very flexible and easily went through the window, so vj members, do not use arc file for your documents, u can comb bind them into groups. dont comb bind everything lol, talking about the evidence.
then i was told to go pay, i was told 240usd or 528ghc (note: rate changes)
cashier wasnt around and i had to stand there aaa ...then eventually paid.
i had planned to take 500ghc but i remember reading vj someone said take extra money, he had to call his sister to bring extra money, so i took 600 and was glad i did.
i was called for fingerprint and i did.
then i went to sit, this experience was undescribable, i was sooo tensed and nervous, i had been denied visit visa twice, i tried so hard to relax.
at some point i needed to use the bathroom, i thought i have to go outside the emb, then i thought, what if i go and my name is mentioned, and thought these people wont have a bathroom inside for us, they care less if we need to pee lol.
so i asked receptionist and was showed one inside, so vj members if u need to 'go', there's one inside.
a man in suite walked by with his NIV denial letter, reading as he walked on, im sure he was thinking ...how can i be denied in my armani suite lol
i wore an african shirt, black trou and shoes. :D
there were two ladies and one man interviewing, i prayed to be called by a lady, i assumed they are more emotional and would sympathise with my distant love situation.
i was the last but one to be called for interview, it was a lady and i was glad :D, on arrival she asked how i am, and concluded she would be nice to me.
she asked how we met, when was the last time i saw her, when we started dating and when i proposed.
with each question i kept talking after answering, i talked about things we did so as to emphasize the genuineness of our relationship. she gave back my evidence, i was frightened she didnt look at them, so i told her, i have my pics and letters here, then she said she had already seen them, i noticed she had looked through the pics bcos that wasn't how i arranged them, and i was glad.
i told her the distance is making us suffer, she replied. "i can imagine" ...i wasn't sure if she meant it or she was being sarcastic. i was still talking about the relationship, giving my points when she said, "its ok, you are good, i believe your relationship is real" then she said she had a problem with my birth cert, the name on it wasn't exactly the same as in my passprt and requested i go rectify is and come back at a later date in october.
i tot it wasn't a big deal, but it was, i kept kicking myself for not correcting it already.
i walked out, got my phone, got somthn to eat and called my fiancee.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
