Embassy Review : I was done only by 11:30 am ) First there was a long line outside in front of the entrance. then there was a line inside in front of another entrance. Then I went to the waiting hall for immigrant visas. There I was asked to come up to a certain window where the russian lady asked me to give her all required doc-s. I think I looked funny while trying to get out the papers among this huge pile of papers. It turned out tht the needed me to give them only the applications filled out by me and put there my signature, the papers with my fiancees financial support, police report with translation, birth certificate with its copy, the copy of the first page of my foreign passport and the paper with the appointment approval - where that russian lady had put a special bar code. I think these are all that they asked. Then Ive waited for about 1.5 hour before I was invited for the interview. There were two Americans - a guy and a girl. I was talking to the girl/lady. Shes very nice and seemed to ask less questions than the guy. She gave me back the original birth certificate, asked me how we met, when the romantic relashionships started, when my fiancee proposed, how was the meeting of our families, where we are plannng to celebrate the wedding and live in the future, and she asked me to show the printed pics if I had them. And then she smiled and said that everything seems to be fine and the doc-s will get to BArnaul by Pony express in approximately a week.

UPDATE: Visa received 12 days later.

Embassy Review : The interview went well. The interviewing officer asked my fiancee basic questions like how we met and what her family members names were. I showed the officer my wife's social security card, her passport and her EAD card. She made copies of them. She asked me if I had any supplemental evidence. I showed her a copy of the apartment lease that has both of our names on it. I showed her bank statements from our joint account for the past several months and my health insurance card that includes my fiancee as a beneficiary. I also gave her a bunch of pictures from our wedding and honeymoon. She then looked through our file and scanned our I-864 affidavit of support that we submitted and the employment letter that was included. Also she looked at the medical information that was done before the embassy interview as well as the supplemental I-693. Finally she told us that they need to do one more check and she should be approved shortly. The interview was about 15-20 minutes. Got a text from USCIS about 3 hours later saying that they ordered production of her green card.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
