Consulate Review: Juarez, Mexico
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 14, 2012
Embassy Review : Hi everyone! Hope my review is helpful .
We started our process in July 2011 and finally finished jun, 12 2012
Ok so my finances cas interview was in jun 5 , 2012 here in the Guadalajara consulate , i honestly don't know why he had his appoinment here and not in cuidad Juarez like everyone else.
My fiancé arrived at cuidad Juarez on jun 10, which was a Sunday . I honestly can't recommend a hotel because my fiancé stayed with a family member who moved him around.

Jun,11 Monday
My fiancé had his medical exam . He arrived at the clinic at 4am and there was already 7 people ahead of him. Once let in side the clinic the take blood have a eye exam make you take a urine exam with someone watching over you. You are also put in a room where they tell you take everything off and just leave our underwear and socks on, after that the doctor leaves the room and tell you I need you to ow take everything off . Mi fiancé said that , that was the worse part off all the exam. My fiancé was also sent to the phycologist for admitting to smoking marijuana . That's why his medical took way longer. He was told to return the next day or is results at 10am but he told him I have my appoinment tomorrow at 7:15am , they said it was fine to pick them up at 7am. My fiancé was done by 10:30am. He was issuing his pictures which he had to take them there they cost 50pesos for 2 photos, he was also missing the ds-156 which we tried millions of places to printed out and we couldn't . We thought the best thing would be to have someone in cuidad Juarez fill it out . Well that was a big mistake because the people there will rip you off thy here charging him 600 pesos first then they went down to 300pesos which still was a rip off. So my fiancé decided to go to the us consulate and ask them what to do. He stood in line for 3 hours to finally ask them why couldn't he printout the form. They answer by saying that there was something wrong with the page at it was there fault . So what they did was gave him one so he could fill out by hand. So we saved ourself money :-)
Jun12 Tuesday
His appoinment wad at 7:15 but he had to pick up his results at 7am so he arrived at 6:50 to the clinic. To our surprised the guard told him his result would be ready at 10am, that when he told him that he ad his appoinment at 7:15 , he told him the best he could do was 9am that's when the doctor that sings the result got in. My fiancé asked him so what can I do they told him to go to the consulate at tell him his situation so that's exactly what he did and they told him that it wasn't a problem but once he had his result to hurry back. To that took some relieve off his back. They finally gave him his result at 8:45 he ran to his appoinment and once there they asked for invitation letter stamped by the cas office which they never stamped his letter so he had to run to the cas office to get that which was fast, the best thing is that everything is close by. Then he ran back to the embassy . So they finally let him in around 9:15 am he waited about 2 hours to be called to the first window where they ased for the ds156 ,affadavit and fiancé information, then they tell you to go back and sit down. He was called to his interview like 2 hours later after that. He said that co SA a nice guy he asked him a couple of question like when we met ,where we met, when he porpused he said the that and my fiancé entiond he ad a certificate if the ring he gave e he told the co if he wanted to see it and he said yes. He also told the co he had pictures that we werent able to send when they requested extra evidence and the co said let me see them it wad only like 20 pic he asked about a coupl off them like where was thi? When was this? And who was in the pic ?.then he asked if we had any children and my fiancé said no that we had our first child on the way he offered to show hima ultrasound and te co said that it wad ok that everything look good that he had no reason to denie his visa. He said felicidades your visa has been approved. You will receive it in gdl in 5 days. My fiancé looked at him and said thank you very much you have made me very happy.he was out buy 2pm

The day off the appoinment wax the worst because we where very worried about him confessing to smoking marijuana once in jan. but thank god everything was ok and it paid off to tell the truth. What we recommend take all your papers orgibazed so when the officer ask for something you have it out quick which makes them happy .we needed the ds260, ds156, we also took the ds156k and the ds 157 because we had on here that we needed it them but we did . We took his 2 photos and the invitation letter.as evidence he took 20 photos and movie tickets ,concert tickets and that's it. Just make sure you take everything ready because my fiancé told me that a lot of people where send back and had there appoinment re schuled because they didn't have all the paper work ready. Hope this helps someone.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
