Consulate Review: Juarez, Mexico
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 21, 2012
Embassy Review : first of all thanks to visajourney.com. i could not have done it without them. we flew to ciudad juarez on sunday. payed 245 pesos for a taxi to bring us to la quinta hotel. i chose this hotel because it has a shuttle, free breakfast and a gate.

Monday- Medical exam. i went around 7:40 am to the embassy to get the letter. they were able to print it for me. it took about 1 hour and a half i suggest you go there earlier. then we went to the clinica. once you start heading over there the coyotes will pound at you like wolfes. you will see them wearing badges. and they will ask you questions. just ignore them dont go into the rooms they send you to...

for the medical. she was asked for embassy letter and passports. it took about 2 hours. then she came out. they drew blood and examined her along with her little girl. no vaccines for k1 but they gave the kids a tuberculois shot. i went in to pay. the guard swiped his card and let me in a room where theres a teller and you give them the bill. i payed using my citibank debit card. about 600 dollars. picked up results at 2pm

Tuesday- went to plaza juarez. and took passport pictures there inside. for about 5 bucks each. then ate ice cream in there. and walked back to hotel. on the way back we stopped at the cinemark. and saw a movie.

Wed- tood little ones for tubercoloiss examination. they passed and wer told to come back at 3 pm to pick up black envelope.

Thurday- went back to pick up envelope because for kids at 7 am. i was asked for payemnt voucher. and receipt and passports. the lady stamped the docuemnt with a seal that read entregado. that means delivered.

Friday- the final day of the interview. woke up at 4a.m went to sala de espera.
they asked for embassy letter, passports, email confirmation, ds 230. she then headed over to council. the guard asked her for doucments and asked her to go in line 3. then another guy came up to her and asked her for her documents. she then headed inside. here they asked her were i was if i was there. she said yes. hes outside. the guy said ok. then she went to a window and was told to wait for her number. were they would verify payment of visas. then her number came up and a nice council talked to her. asked her what my name was were we met and said wow your fiance has visited you many times. i see why he visits you. your beautifil. even i would have visiteed that many times. and she smiled.
then he asked for financials. he then said well you know what you are approved... welcome to the united states.

she then came out and tried to fool me and said we were denied but i asked her fro the blue slip, and she said just kidding. we are approved. shes always joking around.

ffrom my experience here in juarez. people are nice. the hotel staff were nice. the restaurant staff were nice. the council staff were nice. the coyotes are annoying. just look out for them.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
