Received "last processing action taken on your case" email on 2012-01-13 stating:
On January 12, 2012, we mailed you an appointment notice for an interview for February 14, 2012, at NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER.
As of 01/26/2012, still have not received this notice in the mail.
On 1/25/2012, received "last processing action taken on your case" email stating:
On January 25, 2012 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days.
As of 1/26/2012, have not received this document and uncertain as to what it is.
3/5/2012 - The confusion surrounding our case was due to us getting the zip code wrong on the I-485. We transposed two numbers, so our case file was sent to a local office in Kentucky instead of in Columbus, OH. Some of the mail came to our Ohio address, just with the wrong zip, but on other pieces of mail, they actually changed the city and state to match the wrong zip code. Unfortunately, the interview notice was one document sent to that completely wrong address, so it came back as undeliverable. When that happened, they canceled the interview. It was rescheduled on 2/22/12 for 3/5/12.
3/5/2012 - Had interview, took about 15 minutes of basic questions and we were recommended for approval. That evening, received the following two emails:
1.
Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Your Case Status: Decision
On March 5, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status...
2.
Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN
Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity
On March 5, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN...
3/8/2012 - received following email:
Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production
On March 8, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you.
3/9/2012 - received the I-485 "welcome notice" and I-130 approval notice in the mail.
Received following 2 emails:
1.
Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production
On March 9, 2012, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file. You should receive your new card within 30 days.
2.
Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production
The USPS reported that they picked up mail from USCIS containing your new card on March 9, 2012. You should receive your new card within 7 days.
3/12/2012 - received green card!!!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
