Embassy Review : I arrived at the embassy at the embassy at about 7:20 am. There were about 10 people ahead of of me. I was inside by 7:45 am, they started calling numbers at 8:00. My number was I-902, I was called at about 15 minutes. I was seen by a nice British guy , he collected my documents and finger prints , returned my medical cd and told me it was mine to keep and I should keep it in my suitcase when traveling, he gave me the pink form and asked me to complete it while I waited for my number to be called , he said I\'ll be called by counter 15 or 16.
At about a few minutes past 9:00 I was called and seen by an American guy. He asked the normal questions and a few that I wasn\'t expected. The unexpected ones were that my fiancée had said we met in 2008 and I told him we met 2009 which was true. I guess my fiancée made a mistake. Anyway I insisted to him that it was 2009. He also asked that I had a visitors visa in 2011 that why did I not mention I had fiancée on the form I completed for the visa since we were already engaged by then. My answer was i didn\'t know it was important and I was visiting my us citizen brother at that time so I put his name.
The normal questions were , how did we meet, how did our relationship progress, what did we do in the uk when he visited, where does he live , what does he do for work, does he have any family in the U.S, how many siblings does he have, do I have family in the U.S .What is so great about this guy that will make you live your settlement and life in the U.K for him. What do I do for work, do I intend to do that in the U.S . At that point he looked at the affidavit of support and the supporting documents and told me that it looks like he can support me and I don\'t have to work at all, he said that with a smile. He then said I will be approving your visa , he also said that he\'ll be canceling my visitors visa as I will be entering the U.S with an immigrant visa and then he said congratulations .
I was out by 9:30 am. My appointment was for 9:00 am.
I suggest people shoul get to the embassy as early as possible , that way your wait wouldn\'t be too long.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
