Consulate Review: Ghana
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 24, 2012
Embassy Review : I can say that the people where very professional and courteous. However our interview was 7:30am. We waited 2.5 hours and we were called to a window and gave the passport and medicals and gave all the evidence. Then we sat down for another 1.5 hours then we did the fingerprints. Then we sat again until 1pm when were called and told to go to lunch and return at 1:45p. We returned and waited another hour. A nice lady interviewed us and seemed very impressed with the organization of our information. My husband was asked 5 questions I was asked 3. Then she said oh I wish your lawyer had told you we require tax transcripts. I said not problem (thanks to my fellow vj'rs) I was prepared for that and presented them. We were approved to return on 2/29 due to a backlog to pick up the visa. Amen.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
