Consulate Review: Guangzhou, China
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 8, 2012
Embassy Review : 3/7/2012 was the document intake date. Started to wait at 10:30am outside and the line was pretty long. We finally got in at 12:30pm and My fiancee went straight to 5th floor while I was waiting on the 4th floor at the cafe. Cup of coffee was $50. After my fiancee hand in the documents she waited again for the fingerprints.. After all done we left and wait until the next day for the interview.

Following day we got there at 7:30am and the line for the interview outside was really short. So theres pretty much no waiting time for the line. She got to the 5th floor at 7:40am and I waited again on the 4th floor but this time I wanted to save my $50 so I just stand right outside the cafe waiting area. Standing for 2 1/2 hours I was very very nervous and anxious about the result. Finally at 10:30am she came out and was looking for me. She found me and gave a cute happy smile and hug me knowing that she passes the interview. The officer was pretty nice.

Questions were asked:

1. Who partition you to USA?
2. What chinese dish does your fiance like to eat?
3. What music does your fiance like to listen?
4. When did the last time he came back to visit you?
5. How many times did he came back to visit you?
6. Have you been to the USA or other countries before?
7. When did your fiancee became a USA citizen?

documents being looked at: Photos only

Also one year tax return is ok for K1
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
