Embassy Review : Hi all! I am posting a review here on behalf of my parents who recently had their interview. This review is solely base on my mom's and dad's recollection of events. Anyway, here it goes:

My sister dropped them off at the USEM around 0410. True enough, there was already a large number of people waiting outside the embassy for their interview. I remember mine 10 years ago when I also had my interview at the embassy. They didn't open the gate until 0600. I would say a lot of things had changed since I got interviewed at the embassy. According to my parents, they now segregate people according to their time of interview (I don't remember anything about segregating people before). They told me that someone checks your interview letter and your DS260 confirmation page. I don't think they work for the embassy though. Just people who want to help I guess. I already sent clear instructions to my sister through emails and PMs on Facebook on documents to bring with them at the time of their interview. I probably have sent her numerous amounts of emails and PMs, and mostly, repetitive so that my parents will have a smooth interview process from start to finish. If you do not have your interview letter or you brought an incorrect DS260 confirmation, someone will be able to print them for you but you have to pay for it. If you happen to bring cellphones or any type of gadget, the embassy will not permit it. You can have it deposited outside for a certain amount of money. My parents did not bring their phone, I warned them about it. Their interview was at 0615, first batch of the day. They had to go through X-Ray body scanner twice brought about probably by recent events in Paris with regards to terrorist attacks. My dad said they were lucky because they were in a n air-Conditioned room while waiting for their interview. But, they had to pay P30 for the chair. That is a total of P60 for both my parents. The wait is the "pain in the butt" actually. There was only one person at the window at the time they were allowed inside the building to do the swear in. Anyway, they went to submit their original documents at the window where there is A Filipino consul. They were told that all their documents are okay and instructed to wait for their to be called for their interview. It was a female American consul who interviewed my parents. They were asked how they were related to me (I am their daughter), if I am married ( I am) and we already have kids ( None yet). The CO was very nice and even joked with my parents. Then, she said that everything looks good and that they were approved. The last window they went to was for vise delivery. They got done around 0900. All in all, their experience was great.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
