Comments : The K-3, although approved 5 weeks after the I-130, reached the Embassy in early August and so we thought to go with that. The K-3 interview on 08/12/09 went well, but then we were told on August 17th that the case would have to go through administrative processing. NVC cleared the I-130 in late August and sent it to the Embassy in Oslo early September. Although we were initially told that there was no need for a second interview, the Embassy later called and conducted a second interview on 10/07. The A.P. finally finished on 10/29 and the Embassy issued the CR-1 visa at that time.

Comments : Everything went excellently. Philadelphia is one of the best run ports, with the friendliest and most professional CBP officers we've ever come across. They asked some basic questions to confirm what was in the papers, took fingerprints, and then welcomed us. The whole process from the initial CBP immigration officer entry through completing secondary and getting the visa stamped took only about 20 minutes.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
