This review is for the 99 / I-5 Peace Arch Blaine, WA crossing

I was running late from packing and moving out of my Condo from Vancouver and decided to process my green card and find a motel on the US side of the border that night.

I wound up crossing the border at 1:30 AM. All lanes but one were closed and there was zero traffic. I was the only one at the whole complex.

I pulled up to the officer and told him I had my Immigrant Visa packet to process and that I needed to import my vehicle. He asked me for my passport with the IV sticker and told me to meet him inside after parking in secondary.

I walked into the empty complex, and the officer showed up to the counter along with 2 others [they didn't do a IV before and wanted to see what the procedure was]. They took my paperwork and confirmed my address before processing everything. They asked me to sit down.

After 5 minutes they called me up, and gave me my passport with the F11 [family first preference category] stamp good for one year, telling me I should have my green card within 4-6 weeks.

I mentioned I needed to import my truck, they took my BC title/insurance/registration letter [all on one page] and processed my truck, one officer walked out to confirm the VIN and they issued me a import document with a stamp so I can register my vehicle with the DMV.

It took 5 minutes for the green card and 5 minutes to import the vehicle. I was back on the highway by 1:45am and drove down to Burlington to stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

Had a great drive down WA, and OR states and down the California coast. Book extra travel time if you are driving down, there are a lot of places to see along the way.
