Review Topic: Waiver/Admin Review

This review is of the interview my husband had with the consulate in Managua when he submitted his I-601 waiver package. The I-601 applications are accepted MWF from 1-3pm. He arrived at 12 and there was already a short line. As it got closer to 1 the line grew very long. He entered and went the the security as described in previous reviews. When called he went to the window and submitted the I-601 along with the biographical form. They asked him a few questions about when he EWI'd, when he returned to the US, did he return on his own, does he have family in the US, and where is he working, then he took a seat. About 20 minutes later he was asked to return to the window where they gave him a slip of paper that allowed him to wait for him number to be called so he could go to the cashier and pay. After he paid they told him to take a seat and wait for his name to be called. When he returned to the window about 30 minutes later the interview began. The same American woman that interviewed us for the VISA asked him about 10 questions which I'll list here. When did he EWI, when did he return to Nicaragua, why did he return, did he have any trouble with the police, what work did he do in the US, did we have any children together, did he want to bring his child from Nicaragua to the US, what does he want to do when he returns to the US, what will we do if he doesn't get the waiver, how many times have I visited him, is his family receiving money from me to support them, and maybe a few others. Pretty much everything they asked him was described in the waiver. He said she was pleasant and encouraging. Overall our experience with the Managua consulate was very positive.
