My interview was in London on April 5th 2018 at 11.30am. I arrived at the embassy at 11am and I was the first in line at the little booth outside. A few minutes after 11am a girl came over to me and took my appointment letter and also my passport, she also took my fiance's US passport as he was coming into the embassy with me, we went through security and then walked into the main building. There were no queues at all so I walked straight up to the front desk and the girl asked for my DS160 confirmation page, gave me back my passport, and she gave me a number which I would need for the interview. We went up in the elevator and headed round to the immigrant 'waiting room' where there were about 7 people already seated - it was actually a pretty small space. We sat there for about 10 mins then my number was called, I went up to the window and I handed over some docs i.e. my police certificate, my passport again, the i-134 and I think that was about it. The person behind the window asked if i'd ever lived anywhere other than the US or UK which I replied no to, he handed me back my xray from my medical and I think he asked me a few more questions just related to my paperwork then told me to sit down and wait for the immigration officer. I went back and sat with my fiance and waited for roughly 30/40mins, then my number was called again and I went up to the window. This time I said to the officer 'My fiance is here with me, would you like him to be part of the interviw ?' she just smiled and said 'if he wants to be', so I called up my fiance and the interview began. The officer asked for my birth certficicate then she said 'so how did you guys meet?', I mainly answered and Alex added in a few comments here and there, then she said 'alex, what is your job?' and finally 'where are you going to live when you move?', we answered all questions and she said 'okay im going to approve you now and you'll get your passport back in 1-2 weeks'. simple as that. She didn't even ask for any financial evidence, not even alex's employment letter...nothing! we couldnt believe it. My passport has arrived at the depot and I'm picking it up today the whole process took 1.5hrs
