Great experience for K1 interview. Arrive on time for your appointment, there is no use arriving more than 15 minutes before your time as you wait outside based on your timeslot. Be aware there’s multiple applicants per time (ex. 20 for 8:00), so don’t be worried if you’re not in the building by your time so long as you arrive for it. About 15 minutes before the next timeslot someone will come outside to arrange the line. Majority of applicants were Russian, then Ukrainian, followed by only a few Belarusians and Poles.

New COVID protocol requires masks inside the Embassy and fiancés are not allowed to accompany the K1 beneficiary inside. I went nonetheless and feel it was beneficial. Beneficiary gives the financial documents, birth certificate, and police record inside before the interview. Whole process took just shy of an hour. Everyone was very kind and professional.

Embassy said the passport would be ready at the MBE (Mail Boxes and Etc.) in Warsaw within 3-5 days. There’s a phone number for the MBE you can call to see if it’s arrived, but they’ll text the beneficiary when it comes in. Note that the MBE had a big sign inside that said they wouldn’t be able to do anything until you got a notification from them. Ours was already ready 2 days after the interview.

10/10 experience.

I came to embassy at 8:10. There was long line already. So I recomnend to come earlier. I got inside only at 9, went through security. Then I got registration number at window 13 and took seat. It was cold enough because of airconditioner. In 40 minutes I was called to window 13 where nice russian speaking woman took my documents (passports, birthcertificates, document of termination previous marriage, photos 2*2', DS160, police certificate, translations and copies, and form 134 Affidavit of support. She was preparing folder for consular officer and she asked me a couple questions and made several notes on special blank. Then I was waiting again for about 1 hour and the same woman from window 13 called me to take my fingerprints. I was called for real interview only about 11:45 in the window #12. The consular officer woman was very nice and friendly. She asked first what language I preffered, asked me to swear. Then were a couple a simple questions, and she said : "Congratulations! You are approved!". She did not ask from additional documents or evidences of ongoing relationship. Real interview took about 5-10 minutes. So, the worsest part was a long waiting for it, because to sit for several hours and watch how some nonmigration visas were denied in window #11, it was really scaring. I took my passports with visas next day at TNT office on Annopol street 19.
