Here are the details to Mila's interview.
She was one of the first to leave her documentation at 7:45 a.m.
They told her it had to be printed and not in pencil (form 156).
They told her she could go to a place that had internet and print them out
or she could cancel her appointment and reschedule for another day.
They told her if she wanted to have them printed, she would have to be back by 9:00.
They gave her a ticket to re-enter the embassy and she was able to make it back by 8:20.
She gave them the forms and they told her to have a seat. She waited one hour and they called her to one of the windows.
They asked for her criminal and police documents, her medical exam, and my personal documents.
She also gave them Western Union statements and my plane tickets.
She said this was very fast and then she went to another window to have her finger prints taken.
She said at this ... read complete review

The interview was easy. I am the AMCIT and my fiancee is the Peruvian. My fiancee and I got called up to a window and we were both asked a few basic questions such as when we met and how often I visit Peru. My fiancee was asked if she had ever applied for a tourist visa before. She said yes and I had to correct her that she applied for an F1. We were then told to hand over all the forms we had and did so. Then we were asked for documentation on the relationship. We brought an album of photos and were told to give three or four. I also handed over a big batch of papers of all the Skype calls I have made to her. The CO looked almost annoyed at having to handle all that stuff. I did not hand over anything else even though we had a bunch of love letters because we were told right away to sit down. Then we were called into a small room where a different CO asked my fiancee pretty much the same couple of very basic questions about the nature of our first meeting (such as when and where it wa... read complete review

Went to interview with fiance. She went up I could see problems returned with her to see what problems, they accused her of passport fraud. The embassy said requesting information from United States. I called several times all they say takes long time still working. I went to 2 lawyers one said could not help and the other wanted $4000.00 to do FOIA. Both lawyers told me they harass Peruvians. I sent in request for foia received information 5 months later. There was no passport fraud sent documents to embassy 10/18/09 still waiting 10/29/09. I hope this is not always the case for other people. Very long process!

This was a joke. They called us up to the window a couple times to ask a couple basic processing questions. We finally got up to the window for the 3rd time after waiting several hours and they asked us just a few questions.
'where/how did you meet'
'what do you do currently in the USA (to me)'
'what do you plan on doing in the usa (to her)'
Then they said, OK i think we can approve this. They didn't look at our pictures that we brought. They only briefly glanced at our passports showing out meetings outside the USA in various countries.
I suppose they must have approved it in their minds without even really needing to talk to us.
We assumed we were going to get approved so there was no rejoicing really.
We did see other couples leave with sad looks on their faces. They were taken into a back interview room. For whatever reason they didn't even take us into a back room they just helped us at the ... read complete review
