Our interview was Feb. 21, 2013. All interviews are scheduled at 7:00. We got there about 6:30. There are two lines one to the left and one to the right. After going back and forth between lines trying to figure out which one we needed to be in we finally made it to the correct line....the one to the left of the doors.
When they finally let you in you have to go through security. No electronic devices are allowed. They even made us check our keys at the door because it had a keyless entry remote on the keychain. Once inside you wait for your name to be called. We were one of the first called because our petition was for a minor. Once they call your name you go up to the window. They will go through all of your paperwork and ask for anything that may be missing from your packet original birth certificates etc.. They will collect your medical results. They ask us a few questions but not many. I am US citizen and I petitioned for my husbands biological child who is 3. ... read complete review

Okay I am a tad late but here goes nothing.
Eduardos interview was at 7:00 am tuesday Dec 18th. We stayed at the clarion hotel in Tegus which is about 10 minutes away, there are many taxis available for transportation. We arrived early and it was not open yet so we were sent to the line where i assume all k-1 visas went to. When it was close to 7 a woman came around checking our interview confirmation whether it was an e-mail or a letter etc. We went in and sat down till they called Eduardos name. When they called him they were asking for all of his documentation the man was a lil rude lol then we sat back down and we were called up again by a young lady who collected more of our documents such as pictures, evidence, and messages. She asked a few questions about our relationship and then she directed us to go pay the fee. After that we sat down and then they called him to take his fingerprints. After the fingerprints we waited around 40 minutes and they called us for our interv... read complete review

First, I must recommend the Hotel Paseo Miramontes. We had been searching around for a relatively well priced hotel that was safe. After finding it on the US Embassy's website, we decided to give it a chance and it worked out great. Much more affordable than the Clarion or Hilton (it averaged to about $67/night, really clean and nice accommodations, about 15 minute taxi ride give or take traffic to embassy).
We arrived at the embassy at 5:45am and were second in line. When we got out of the taxi, we were greeted by gentlemen who directed us to the resident visa line (heading down hill). They explained that cell phones were not allowed in the embassy and that the embassy no longer provided lockers. This is absolutely true, CELL PHONES ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE EMBASSY. We ended up paying 50 lempiras and the gentleman gave us a little number while he held our cell phone (we took out the memory chip just in case).
Around 6:45am, a young woman came around to che... read complete review

This review is two parts: first is about the medical exams and second is about the process and interview at the consulate.
Dr. Edmundo del Carmen at Centro Medical Hondureño
My fiancé and I arrived there at 8:30 am (after a confusion of going to another doctor who wasn't even working that day). We took a number and waited for our turn. When they called our number, we went to the window to fill out a form with information and paid 295 Lps for the blood test. Then we waited for them to call his name. They called his name and took him into a small room to take his blood. After that, we went to a small hallway waiting area to have his x-ray taken. You have to wait in line in the order that you arrive, just ask the people sitting there who is the last one and then enter the room after them. My fiancé entered the x-ray room, they took his info and then asked him to pay 305 Lps for the x-ray so we went down the hall, paid and returned to the x-ray room. At this ... read complete review

August 2, 2010 - When we arrived at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, for our scheduled interview, there were two separate lines of people outside, one for immigrant visa’s, and another for non-immigrant visa’s. Just ask the folks already in line which line is which, and it may also be helpful to ask a few folks at the front of the line and the security officer on duty. Bring insect repellant, because you will need it while waiting outside as the mosquitos are relentless and have been known to carry Malaria and Dengue fever.
Appointments are set for 7:30am, but the doors opened just prior to 7am. Security checked for Appointment letters and identification, as people in the lines were let inside and processed as they were in line. In other words, people were processed on a first-come first- served basis, instead of following a pre-set list like U.S. Embassy/Consulates in other countries. We arrived at 6:40am, and we were still in the first group ... read complete review
