Had my interview today and i have to say it was a very pleasant experience.

A lot is already said so i only tell a few things i've noticed.

Medical.

bring cash and i mean euro's no plastic. There are a few banks nearby so you can get money from there. i got 300 just to be on the safe site.

Interview

Don't bring electronics. It's in the letter etc. but there where people today that had phone's with them. The guard let them stay outside. If you bring your phone expect to be outside for a while. You can leave your phone at central station. There lockers on the far right side of the building. (if you stand in front of the building and walk in)

I bought a registered mail stamp (7.70 euro) in dutch (aangetekende brief 0-2 kilo)You only can get the barcode one.

All in all in was a pleasant experience. I was in and out in less then 15 minutes.

I don't have much to add to all the reviews already posted here, but wanted to write a review since Visajourney has been so incredibly informative throughout out process.

I had an appointment at 13.30, and arrived at the consulate at about 13.15. I left my electronics in a locker at Central Station and it paid off, since people without electronics end up being let in first. At 13.30 on the dot the security guards showed up and asked everyone to line up. Then they let you in and you go through a little airport-like security check.

Once you enter you go up to the window ahead of you, and they will tell you to move on to window 5 in the other room. Here I was asked to hand over my passport/the birth certificate/I-134/proof of payment and the Postage Stamps. They also took my fingerprints and then I was asked to wait until a consular officer at another window would call your name. About five minutes later someone did!

The questions were very s... read complete review

February 5th I had my medical examination which was a very pleasant experience.
It's a 3 hour travel for me to Amsterdam so of course I was making my self a lot more nervous than necessary. "What if I forgot to bring something" etc.
Dr. Schulte's office is basically just a house and it feels very homely. The people were extremely friendly. Because I was an hour early (due to the long travel times) the lady suggested I go get my x-ray (50 euro) taken first.
That place is about a 15 minute walk away from Dr. Schulte's office and is very easy to find. The woman here didn't seem to enjoy her job very much and was very serious. I don't think I've seen a smile on her face (well maybe when I gave her the 50 euro lol).
Back at Dr. Schulte I was given a DTP booster vaccination (35 euro) and they took 1 vial of blood. After that we recorded my height, weight, heart rate, blood pressure and a couple other tests were done. That was finished up with a small list of ques... read complete review

I was very nervous for my interview, my appointment was at 13:30, I got there at 13:00 and there was already someone waiting there. There were some cool people also waiting in line that were going through the same thing (K1) and that took some of the nerves away. At 13:30 a securtiy guard came outside and asked all the immigration applicants for 13:30 to form up a line, I was 2nd in line so I could go through security quick (I left my purse with my brother and only took my papers inside) and I was told to go to window 5.

At window 5 there was a consular (the person who normally takes the papers turned out to be sick) who asked for my papers (Affadavit of support, stamp, proof of payment and birth certificate). I asked him if he wanted any of the evidence of our relationship that I brought, but he said it wasnt neccesary. He also took my fingerprints and then I was told to take a seat.

After waiting for about 15mins I was called back to window 5, he asked m... read complete review
