Ok well my husband's interview was at 7:30am this morning but he went in from 7:20...we just left the embassy at 12:15pm. Currently going home now. I got to sit down in the front where the people had to stand inline but the security told everyone who wasnt being interviewed to stand across the street. (I felt special...hehe) As for my huzzy they just took his documents (only DS form taken was the DS260)....let him pay his fee and for his interview they only asked him

Who filed for you?
What's your occupation?
Have you ever been arrested?
Can i see your sons birth certificate? (US Born)

Then the interviewer laughed and told him "this was easy right?" And my huzzy said "yes"
Then he asked him did he sign up for DHL. My huzzy said yes and showed him the confirmation sheet. Then he said "ok good you will get back your passport in 2 weeks or less !" And that was it....long wait but totally worth it!!!

My wife & I got to the Embassy at approximately 7:40 a.m. for our 8:00 a.m appointment, there was already quite a number of persons in the line, however, the screening process went very quickly & in no time we were in the hall where the interview process was conducted. We were given a number & we were initially called to a window where we submitted our medical & our documents were reviewed & we were instructed to sit back down & wait for our names to be called. We waited for approximately two & a half hours before our names were called & we went to another window where we were interviewed by a Consular Officer, we were asked a few questions & our passport with our existing B1/B2 visa were cancelled & we were advised that we cannot have tow existing visa ( it was at that time that we realized that we were approved) the overall time of the interview was approximately ten minutes.

Hi,
Though I was in Jamaica during my fiances's interview I was not allowed inside. I waited about 3 hours outside for him. He described the processing as going smoothly. He then waited a little while for the officer to call him to the window. He said the officer asked him what do I do for a living ? Then there was a brief pause while the officer appeared to be doing something on the computer. Then he was asked, How did you meet your fiancee ? and How many times have we met ? My fiance had two expandable folders of photos, call records, receipts, text messages and my fiancial supporting documents (job letter, taxes etc. ) and the officer did NOT ask for any of them. Not even the non-impediment to marriage paper or his original divorce decree. With the appointment letter emailed from the embassy there was a K1 visa checklist attached to the email. Those were the only documents he had DS-156, 156K and 157 and whatever else like the police record, passport, medical etc. They ... read complete review

Had interview today at 9:30 today and getting to the embassy was indeed a journey but we made it, thank God! So my fiancé and I made if pretty much for 9:30 even thou we left Montego Bay at 4:40am. Arriving at the embassy we were greeted by an employee outside the embassy asking for DS 156/156k/157/160/230, told her ds160 wasn’t on the checklist to bring, we gave her the ds 230 as we had brought 2 copies just in case and gave them to her. She lacks customer service major, even my fiancé notice and was looking at her strange.  My fiancé wasn’t allowed to enter inside the embassy which we already knew based on reviews on VJ but was hoping to get lucky. Anyways I went through the security checkpoint and then inside the embassy building, collected my number (the lucky one  After about 10-15mins, my number was called and documents were collected and ds230 was returned to me, I was asked for the Affidavit of Support (I134), I attached with bank state... read complete review
