Review Topic: K1 Visa

I just want to thank all the other members on here who posted their experience during the interview process. Without them there is no way that we would have been approved for our K-1 visa. And I even hired an attorney to help me with the process because I had know idea what to expect during this 6 month long process. Luckily the attorney told me to read this website and and the reviews to know what to expect. The most important review I read was one about his fiance being denied a student visa and having this be a big problem during the interview for his fiance visa. To all those out there who are applying I would go with your fiance if at all possible. I saw a couple of women get denied who were by themselves and if there is any problem they will most likely deny your fiance if you are not present. Everything was great with my petition lots of evidence and all paperwork filled out correctly. However my fiance had a denial of a student visa two years ago. Her Aunt had a longti... read complete review

The consulate asked to see pictures of us. We had a photo album to show so that was no problem.

We arrived there at 630 am and left at 130 pm. They do not go by who arrived first. So it wouldn't be anything to be there a long time and some one after you gets seen... read complete review

We had an amazing experience at the embassy. The consular officer was extremely nice and treated us really well.

Our visa was approved about 5 minutes into the interview. Everything else was good and organized too.

we left the apartment at 6am and took maybe 5min to get there. they told us to get in line 3 while we waited to go through security to enter embassy. they started letting us in at 6:30 and told us to go to window 40. around 7am a lady came over to our group of people and gave us a folder to organize all the papers in. a little while later they started calling people to window 30 and 31 to turn in papers. they did not call us and we was wondering how long it was going to be. finally they call 5 of us to window 40 and they told us to follow them to window 4 where the interview was. we made a couple of friends there while we waited and they turned their paper work into windows 30 and 31. it was not very cold to me there but other people said it was i guess it just depends where you are from. finally they call us to window 4 and we turned in our papers. we are thinking that they have us doing something different maybe because we did not pass medical. so we asked one of the 5 people that ca... read complete review

the interview was easy and smooth, just took 5 minutes and the CO asked me:
what is the job of your fiance? how many times he has traveled to Colombia?
he has been married? do you have lived in USA? you have photos? and then I heard the sweet words: "visa approved"
