Review Topic: K1 Visa

Our appointment was scheduled for 7am, we arrives at 6:45 am. We immediately went to line #3. No one else was standing on that line. After like 2 minutes an announcement was made that anyone who was there for a resident visa (including K1) please move to line #3. A young lady came over and asked for our appointment letter, passports, and DS-156; she asked if I was the petitioner and placed a green sticker with the #40 on our chest. The number 40 was for the line we were to be on once we entered. We went through what felt like airport security and proceeded to line 40.

At this point an L-shaped line is formed. The line next to the #40 is for when you just arrive, before you receive your folder. The line that’s giving its back to the coffee stand is for after you have organized your documents. The girl at the podium takes your interview letter and hands you a folder with the list of doc and the order they must be in. Everything except your evidence of relationship goes i... read complete review

we had our interview on 9/9/11, we got there around 6:20 am and we did not wait long we stood in line #3 and a lady came out asking for the ds 156(the original and a copy) forms and the appointment letter, she put the #40 on both my fiance and i and 5 minutes later we were let in( we were 2nd on the line). we were then redirected to line #40. they gave us a brown folder to put the information on the list and after we were done we had to go up to her once again and show her all the paper work to see it it was correct. she said everything was fine and we had to wait for a while until we got called to window #8 in where my fiance turned in all the papers she asked if i was there and to write my first and las name. we had to wait again for a longer timer until he got called to window #2 for finger prints. at last we both got called to window
#5 in where the consul asked my boyfriend to pick up the phone she asked how we meet, when was my las visit, and this time around when had i a... read complete review

My Colombian fiancee attended alone. The interview was very brief and without many questions. They asked where we met, my complete name, if there were prior marriages and where the I worked in the USA and then confirmed that the financial support documents were in order.

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Excellent....it was pretty quick, my wife had the appointment at 9:00 am but she got there at 6:30am and the visa was approved at 10:30am. I sent a lot of evidence along with the I-130(Her wedding gown receipt, receipts of everything that we spent in our wedding, pictures, skype receipts, money transfers etc.) and for that reason they didn't request anymore evidence. Although, she told me that a young consul was the one who interview her and that he was pretty easy going. it all depends on the person who'll interview you. anyway, there is not much to tell because her interview lasted like 15 sec. the only questions asked was "how we met?" and if i was Colombian which i am. and that's it. My wife took with her extra copy of the affidavit of support, more pictures, The police certificates for both of us ('cause i'm colombian), immigration certificates for both of us, our birth certificates, our wedding invitation and weeding favor. She took a lot of thing but they didn't request any of i... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

We arrived at the embassy at 6:45am and there was a lottt of people but lucky for us that was not the k1 line. We were directed to line 3 and asked to see the embassy interview letter which was fast. Then we went through secruity. If you have a cell phone you will have to turn it in until after you leave. Next we were given the domesa form and then went directly to line 40. The lady asked for a couple forms and gave us a folder explaining the order to put all of our forms and documents in. After we organized everything we brought the folder right back to line 40. 10 or 15mins later my fiancees name was called to window 32 and this lady checked to make sure all the documents and forms were there. About 20mins later we were called again to window 2 for fingerprints. Finally after 45mins the consular called us and was a really nice guy who didnt even ask for alllll of the evidence we brought. He asked my fiancee how we met and how many times we visited each other. He also showed us a few ... read complete review
