  1. Most likely he will get the same result but there is no other harm. I did see one other time someone applied a week later after a denial and it was granted but I don’t know if they presented evidence that was not presented during first interview.
  2. I can’t comment much about the other questions but I agree, I’ve never seen anyone have a problem with CRBA. Sometimes even if not married theh don’t ask for a DNA test, will really depend on the embassy.
  3. I do not believe this is what a humanitarian visa is for. Is the church assisting you in this process?
  4. If it will not impact his application , I think you will need more than an anonymous email. However I don’t think there is anyway to email anonymously except by creating an email address. However in your case I think you really need to email them, tell them your situation and the cultural sensitivity of it all and hope they understand your situation.
  5. Hey all, Just wanted to update everyone. Friends report did not work to prevent individual from entering. Individual has arrived (according to social media). will update here to let y’all know how it plays out.
  6. Do the lies have something to do with what you put on your application? If it does I suppose you could inform the embassy about this “anonymously” a couple days before the interview. I also read on quora or Reddit a story from a consular office about a woman also in India who went to an interview and asked the consular office to deny her visa , it was an arranged marriage and she didn’t want to travel and also couldn’t tell her family for obvious reasons. She was the beneficiary though, I don’t know how it would work since you are the petitioner. you could try to send an email to the embassy explaining what you explained here (but maybe give more detail) and explain why you can’t formally withdraw the petition.
  7. This is true, I forgot that aspect of it. Thank you
  8. I’ll let her know. Thanks. We were confused on differences between making reports between the embassy, CBP, and ICE and when reports should be made. I thought it was the following : embassy- best if person hasn’t been issued visa yet CBP- best after issued visa and haven’t travelled yet ICE- if the person has already travelled living in the states It seems best to make reports to as many as possible(with appropriate evidence). Thank you again.
  9. Thanks y’all. She was able to submit a tip online to CBP, apparently she also has a police report in addition to the news articles. She said she couldn’t figure out how to attach the evidence but said she did leave her contact info for follow up. thanks again to those who gave great advice:
  10. Hi Timona, no I didn’t. I’ve asked questions about tourist visas in general but not this question for this specific situation.
  11. I will let her know. Evidence should be easy, there were newspaper articles and coverage on one of the incidents.
  12. Hi Oko, I see what you are implying and that’s not the case. You don’t have to have access to ones DS 160 to know that someone with a serious criminal history likely lied on it to get a tourist visa. As I mentioned, it’s a friends distant family member/relative . It is very common for people to share their plans with other family members and well in Africa “word spreads”. dont know what the purpose of your post was but to imply I am lying which I have no reason to do. Thanks for your response, I guess? Good luck to you. focusing on trying to prove a point or prove someone is being deceptive rather than trying to give guidance/feedback. I don’t get it. Will let her know. Thank you everyone for responses!
  13. They already obtained the visa. Getting ready to travel in next couple weeks.
  14. Is there a place to anonymously report someone who has indicated their intentions or overstaying their visitor visa? A friend has asked about this, this distant relative of theirs has also lied on their visa application about criminal background and has some serious criminal history(rape, battery etc, alcohol related offenses). My friend is concerned about the relative coming to the United States due to their violent history (seems friend may have been victim to this person).
