  1. We filed for adjustment of status for my mother. She entered the country on a tourist visa. And no, we didn't have any intentions to apply for a green card before she came to the U.S. We had her tickets booked round trip before she came and changed her flight back a couple months later until we decided to apply for AOS. I recently had a baby and my mom was going to come to visit for a month to visit with her grandchild. However, with my new job training, we had a problem with original plan of who would be watching the baby. She came last June and we filed for AOS in October. I am asking for advice of how we can prove our intention to immigration officer. Would our records showing her flights multiple times be sufficient to prove to immigration officer our intention? Any helpful comments are welcomed. Thanks guys.
  2. 10/12/2016 USCIS received AOS paperwork (I-130, I-485, I-131) 10/26/2016 Biometric appointment 11/09/2016 RFE for I-485 11/25/2016 USCIS received RFE 1/18/2017 Advance Parole received It has been more than 90 days since they received RFE. Should we contact the office? Any thoughts? Also when we check the status of I-130 on the website, it only said that they received the form. P/S We adjusted of status from a tourist visa. Thank you so much!
  3. Hello, My mom entered the U.S. last June as a visitor. We applied to adjust her status (for a green card) in October due to an unexpected circumstance. We are still waiting to hear back about the interview. My question is if she makes a trip back to her home country for about two weeks, will there be a problem coming back to the U.S? She has her Advance Parole paperwork. She also doesn't speak any English so I am a little worried that there will be issues when she enters the U.S. Thank you.
