  • Our Story
I smile now because if you are here your story is probably somehow similar to mine.

I met the love of my life in Lima, Peru while I was there for a 10 day missions trip with my church. We became friends instantly. I remember the first time I saw Elias, I almost fell down the flight of stairs I was standing on. One of the young girls with me said "Sam! Were you checking him out? Your're not supposed to do that on a missions trip!" I responded "It's okay, I think I'm going to marry him, so that makes it alright."

During my trip nothing romantic occured however attraction was evident. On my last day he came to me nervous as ever and said he needed to ask me something very important. His hands were shakey and he finally worked up the courage to say..."can we exchange email addresses?" I almost laughed. It was way too cute. He went on to explain that he would be unable to live with himself if he let me leave without assuring future contact. Ohhhhh.

As soon as I came home we were in daily contact and within months I was planning my return to Peru. I finally made it back in October and my first night in Lima he proposed. I accepted saying (in english) "yes, yes, yes!" To which he responded (in spanish) Oh God I hope that means "SI, SI, SI!"

From that time on my story is much like yours...paperwork and redtape, hopes and dreams for a lifetime of love with my spouse.

Elias and I married April 29, 2008 and life could not be better. We had our first little on June 5, 2009 and our second little one on June 7, 2010!!

May God bless each of you on your journey.
