  1. My sister is entering her COS request from Tourist visa to Student and her I-94 will expire Oct 14th 2023, I know it won't take 2 months for it to be approved. Will she be deported or does she have legality until the COS is approved or denied? Thanks
  2. Hello! Trying to get some guidance for gathering of original documents before requesting an appointment. Besides my father's originals and translations, there is an area that asks for "Petitioner Documents". The description of this throws me off, because there is a type of visa I have never seen before. Could you tell me if I need to submit my Birth certificate again and if I need to send the original one to my father to have in the interview? Thank you. (I copy pasted the requirement and what is asks) Petitioner Documents If you are applying for an IR5 visa as the parent of a U.S. citizen or for an F4 visa as the brother or sister of a U.S. citizen: You must obtain an original birth certificate for your petitioner, or a certified copy. If you are applying for an IR1, CR1, or F2A visa as the spouse of a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident and your petitioning spouse was previously married: You must obtain evidence of the termination of EVERY prior marriage your petitioning spouse has had. This evidence must be an original or certified copy of one of the following documents: FINAL legal divorce decree, death certificate, or annulment papers.
  3. Hello! My father has a similar timeline. I also applied Sep 2021, approved July 2022. We got the notice with requirements from the NVC electronically. We have questions about what is needed from me, the petitioner. It says in one of the steps, I'll copy paste. Could you let me know if this applies to me? the visa type on the description is throwing me off.
