Our Story
Vinny and I met in late September at a pub in London. We were both timid at first to speak to each other but it really was love at first sight. Slowly getting over our shyness towards each other we began speaking regularly and eventually meeting up for a pint or clubbing. I went home for the holidays and at this time we really started to admit our feelings. When I returned from the holidays we officially began dating on January 5, 2007. Soon after we both admitted we were head over heals for each other and wanted nobody else. We did say a couple times that we were going very fast and this might not be rational but we finally admitted that we couldn't help it. Our hearts completely took over. In late Feb. Vinny asked my mom for my hand in marriage in a sneaky phone conversation. My dad has passed away so he asked my mom instead. She was so pleased by this she said yes. March 3, 2007 Vinny proposed on the Millennium Bridge with a full moon over head, the Tower Bridge in the background, Tate Modern and St. Paul's lit up, and bag pipes playing in the distance. It was truly magical. Vinny soon moved in with me as we couldn't be apart and now we are working on immigration as I want to move back to the states and have been offered a job. Vinny has never been to the US so his sacrifice for my happiness to move away from everything I know astounds me. We are waiting to see the next chapter and working on marriage plans.
