We met on an Amazon River tour while I was vacationing in Peru in March 2004. Augusto sent e-mails & then began calling in May 2004. I returned to Iquitos, Peru, in Sept 2004 to spend a week together....I went back again in Nov 2004. We became engaged on that trip. In June 2005 I returned to Peru and we gathered paperwork for filing for the fiance visa. By Aug 2005 we received notice of petition approval and an Oct date for embassy interview. The interview went well, but there was difficulty in securing a medical exam prior to the petition expiring due to some misunderstanding on our part. I go to see Augusto as often as possible (Jan 2006, Dec 2006, June 2007...Sept 2007). After some research to be sure we're doing everything correctly this time, we refiled the Petition for Alien Fiance in late April 2007. Received NOA1 in May 2007....anxiously awaiting NOA2 with approval....
