  1. Finally, today I became an American Citizen. My journey is over 😊 Just to give you all an insight… My appointment was at 9.55am this morning and I was called in at 10.05am. The officer was really nice and chatty. Firstly talking about all the bad weather that Portland has had recently. I was sworn in and he asked for my current 10 yr Green card and my driving license. Then he went straight onto the civics test. I failed on one question which was purely because I didn’t give myself time to think and instead I ‘presumed’ I knew the remainder of the question… So a bit of advice, pause slightly before answering. Then an easy read and write task on the tablet. I was asked a few simple personal questions like name, address, DOB and where my husband lives and works. Followed by a few of the YES/NO questions. I was asked if I owed taxes which I don’t and then he asked if I had anything else to show him for evidence since I filed. I showed him bank statements from two different joint accounts. That was all he looked at. He actually asked me what a repetitive transaction was on a few of the statements. So be aware, this is something they do look at. I signed the tablet twice, once for checking personal information is correct and the second for confirming I was prepared to take the oath of allegiance. He then said he was recommending me for approval and explained that the next process was receiving my oath ceremony appointment which would be mailed to me but then asked if I wanted to attend a same day oath ceremony at 2pm, which of course I accepted gladly. The oath ceremony itself lasted 15 minutes so it was super quick. Which was perfect as we had a six hour journey home. There were around 80 people attending this session, unfortunately, guests were not allowed inside during the ceremony. I want to thank everyone on Visa Journey. All your advice has been brilliant. Thank you all so very much. For everyone still waiting, I sincerely hope your journey ends very soon. Good luck and best wishes to everyone. ❤️ Rather long post I know. Sorry ☺️
  2. Congratulations on finally becoming a U.S. citizen Elmers. Hope your future is truly amazing 😊
  3. Finally an update on my case. Today my interview has been scheduled for February 28th. 🍾 🥂 Best wishes to everyone and thank you all for the invaluable help during this process 😊
  4. Look forward to hearing all about your experience. Thank you 😊
  5. I’m so pleased for you. Your years of waiting are almost at an end. 😊
  6. @elmers Mine changed to 30 days today. Read somewhere, not sure if it was on VisaJourney, that the countdown can’t be relied upon. I guess we will see what happens in 30 days 😊 Might just change to ‘Closed for the holidays’ 🎅
  7. Congratulations 😊 I have just received notification that a new card is being produced on I-751 so no combo interview for me. Looks like USCIS Nebraska is getting stuck into April 2021 applications now. Hope everyone waiting hears good news very soon 🥂
  8. Congratulations to you both. Ooh paper burning sounds like the perfect celebration 🍾
  9. @elmers we will all get there eventually 😊 Hope we all get good news soon. Lots of N400 interviews being arranged. So best of luck for everyone 🤞
  10. Hey I’m still at the same stage. I-751 stuck on biometrics in the large Nebraska Abyss and n-400 is actively being reviewed. I think the word “actively” needs replacing. Although case has recently moved from 11 months to 4 months. So now still waiting. “Patience is a virtue”
  11. Hey. Yes I had that today and last weekend too. And the link took me to the same person also. I thought it might have corrected itself this weekend, but no…
