  1. Social security offices are open to the public. I will stop by in person this coming Friday. Trusting God, I will be able to update my status. I became a US citizen on June 2020. And like you, I was not comfortable with mailing my documents. I will request a new card though.
  2. Did you send your passport card instead of naturalization certificate???
  3. Hello, what state are you at? I’m in Houston, TX. I will call next week. Hopefully I will get lucky and get an in-person appt. what is a real ID? Also did you have to send your original naturalization certificate for your passport???
  4. Thank you for the thought. I initially called all of the surrounding areas back in July and none of them were given in person appts. I will start trying again and hopefully I’ll get lucky to get an appt. 🙏
  5. I’m also waiting for the to open to the public. They’re not giving appts to do in person. And I’m not comfortable sending my original document.
  6. Last time I called they told me I have to mail my certificate (honestly don’t feel comfortable doing so). In person appointments are not giving in my area. (Houston, Tx). what state are you at?
  7. Is anyone else waiting on social security office to update citizenship status?
  8. I wonder the same thing, family member is in the process of AOS, I am thinking he can get the medical exam completed prior oct 1st. But a Request for evidence has not even been issued.
