  1. The oath taking ceremony was actually 10 am but the letter they sent us was 8:30 am. The line outside the courthouse was little longer because of the process of checking in your bags and belts and taking off shoes for security check. It probably took us at least 20-30 mins. just getting in the courthouse building and then we have to get our stuffs back and put the shoes on and go to elevator to the 5th floor and thats where the oat taking ceremony happened. It was a long line but exactly 8:30 am the USCIS officers came and sat on the table on the hallway and start getting out GC and double checking the certificate if the name and other details is right and then after we were seated on our assign chairs. We woke up 6 am and cook and had breakfast and drove to the courthouse by 7:30 am and already people and in line there. I am 15 mins. Away from the courthouse. So at least 4 hours all in all including taking pics with the judge. We got out the courthouse around 11 am.
  2. Had my Oath Taking ceremony today at 10 am in a District Courthouse. It was an amazing experienced and feeling during the whole hours of process. With 41 people got their Naturalization from 20 different countries around the world make you feel good and proud for finishing this visa journey from K1 to N400. The entire room was joyful and excited for the ceremony. I think I like the ambiance inside the courthouse better hehehehe it’s very solemn and professionally prepared by USCIS and the court employees and the Judge. After the oath we all sign up to register to vote. Goodluck to all of you and Congratulations on your coming approvals and oath ceremony.

  4. Update on my application Had my interview 1:15 pm today at Montgomery Alabama. I got approved and the Oath will be November 3 in my home town not at their field office but a courthouse. The officer didn't ask me any other evidence except to my Green card. He asked my 6 questions only since I corrected all of it. The questions were: What is emancipation of proclamation do? Who was the Vice President of USA? Name one of the longest river in US How many years is the president term? How many years the House of Representatives be elected? Who is Benjamin Franklin It was easy and quick interview only took 10 mins. Hope you all have a great day…

  6. Yes .. your good to go for application since you got your first GC in 2016. You’ve been a GC holder for 7 years now. The interviewer told me before that at least 30 months minimum your present in the US there shouldn’t be a problem for N400 approval. Good luck to you.
