    Hi Emily, thank you for your reply. I don't concern much about whether or not I can get the SNAP benefits. I am afraid getting the benefits will interfere with my son's immigration process down the road. I came here with a K1 visa, and I plan to apply for my son to come in the future.

    Hi all, I am currently a permanent green card holder, and my citizen husband wants to apply for SNAP benefits. We both are unemployed over a year now. I plan to apply for my child to America in a few years. I wonder if claiming SNAP benefits will cause any problem on his immigration process further down the road. Does it show anywhere on the government website? Thank you!
