Fernando and I met in June, 2005 when I was in Santiago de Compostela, Spain attending classes at the local university. We were introduced through a mutual friend and began dating while I was in Spain. I would only be attending classes from June to July and would be returning to Iowa (where I lived). Fernando would be coming to the US to work as an intern at Dow AgroSciences in Indianapolis, Indiana from the end of August through the end of November. We decided to continue our relationship since we were going to be relatively close to each other for a number of months. I visited Fernando in Indianapolis two times and he visited me in Iowa once. We also met up in Chicago twice. Upon his return to Spain, we spoke frequently via MSN Instant Messenger, emails, and several phone calls. I returned to Spain at the end of May 2006 to visit him for two months. Towards the end of my stay, he decided to come to Dallas, TX (where I currently live) to visit for one month. It was during this most recent trip that we decided to get married!
