Hi guys! After loong years of waiting, we finally heard something from USCIS. We filed concurrently I-130 and I-485 coz my mom is already here in the US as tourist visa. Now, the update we got is that they scheduled her for interview. What do they ask during interview? I’ve never heard of interview for parents. Is it coz she had 2 biometrics? The first one was u readable so they scheduled a 2nd one.

Hi guys! Was very happy with the approval of my I-130 for my parents who are already in the US. So, we filed concurrently I-130 and I-485 last October 2021 and we just got an approval of the I-130 yesterday. I’m assuming we’re just waiting on the I-485 decision at this time? How long does it take for the I-485 decision after approval of the I-130? Thanks!

So the B2 won’t be void if the decision is denied since he left US while the decision is pending. I really hope it gets approved so we won’t have any issues when he comes back.

The source says if the applicant is still in the US when the decision was received. In the case of my brother, he already left US while decision is still pending. Correct me if I misunderstood this.

Do you have a source for this? Thanks! Coz it doesn’t make sense. Stay is legal if the application is pending right?

Thank you guys! He has multiple entry tourist visa so I don’t think he would need to apply for a new one. Actually, at the airport, when He was about to depart, he was randomly interviewed by an immigration officer. So he explained the situation that he applied for an extension but never got a decision. The officer told him that he was gonna update the system. This was since April 2022 and until now, nothing. But I think that was good that he was able to talk to an officer right?

Thanks for your response! He stayed in the US for 10 months total. He applied for extension before his 6months stay expired. And they said, his stay would be legal until he receives a decision but even until now, he already went home to his country, there’s no decision yet. His reason for extending was to visit more families in the US and visit more places before his school starts in his country/

Hi guys! My brother applied for I-539 Extend to stay tourist visa sometime in October last year. He did biometrics already but until now there’s no result yet on the application. He did go back home to his country. What’s gonna happen when he comes back to the US? Are they gonna give him problems? Thanks!

Thanks! I filed I-130 online but I guess it’s Nebraska service center.

Hi guys! So I filed I-130 and I-485 at the same time for my parents since they’re already in the US (entered legally via tourist visa). I filed in November 2021. They already did their biometrics around December. Until now, we haven’t heard any updates on the petition. Can anyone here share their timeline? How long did it take for your petitions to get approved? We submitted the I-485 to Phoenix. Thanks in advance!
