  2. This is the situation. Fiancee (Now wife) arrived in the USA on December 24, 2016. We got married (parents witnessed) at a courthouse weeding on January 19, 2017. The court staff sent completed marriage licence to get it recorded, and am currently waiting for the completed certificate to be sent to me (should have taken it my self...oh well!). I have done some research on how to legally change her last name, and move her maiden name to her middle name (in Colorado)...do I get a social security card / number for her to accomplish this? What information do I need to get a SSN Card / Number for her? I contacted USCIS and was informed that her legal name must be on the AOS form when it is submitted. Of course, if I change her legal name to my last name and move her maiden to her middle name these are the name that would need to be on the forms. Otherwise, I was instructed to just use her birth name. Also...the work authorization paperwork will be submitted with the AOS. Does anyone have experience with this and point me in the correct direction? Thanks....
