So my Nicaraguan fiancée and I are getting married. She has her fiancée k-1 visa.

We are planning to have a wedding celebration at a church with family, friends and community in her country before she comes here. The pastor suggests we get married legally in Nicaragua now. Is it ok for us to get married legally in Nicaragua and then come to the States to get married? Right now, my fiancee has the Fiancee k-1 visa and I am concerned that getting married legally in Nicaragua would have repercussions upon leaving Nicaragua or entering the US.

Would there not be a problem marrying in Nicaragua first? I just would not want to have any surprises when she comes to the USA to marry me legally here. We are not planning to live in Nicaragua any time soon either.
