  1. My and my wife had our interview today and we were both approved. We also took our younger kid ( baby) to the interview. Below is my experience . We arrived at 8:15 AM and found that parking meter was broken and no attendant was present . We parked and entered the building at 8:16 AM and went through security and customer service. Customer service gave us tags with P numbers. We went to the second floor seating area and waited for over 40 minutes .We were called by separate officers into two different interview rooms one after another for face to face interviews . Interview experience was nothing special . My officer started with civics questions following by reading/writing and finished with the N400 questions . In the citation question, I did mention that I had two pretty old traffic citations which I wanted to mention. She said I did the right thing by non mentioning them in N400 application , given that they were older than 5 years. I finished and came out to the waiting area in about 20 minutes and found my wife ( she had the baby as well) had already finished her interview. My wife stated that her officer was very accommodative with our baby ( who was sleeping most of the time btw). We came back to the first floor for a quick oath ceremony and the were handed our certificates. When we came out we saw that the parking attendant had just arrived and was collecting the tickets . We paid $8 on the way out. I felt that the process was very efficiently managed and I am grateful that they were very accommodative with our baby.
  2. Congratulations , super glad that its finally over for you . Take some time off and enjoy now . Then we went through a lot of the N400 questions (current employment, current and old addresses, many of the yes/no questions). On the above ask , do they expect you to remember exactly the addresses that you lived in , or would the name of the city suffice ?
  3. A lot of folks from the spreadsheet have had their interviews in the past week or so. Would be great if you could come back and post your detailed experience .
  4. Very hard to say . Judicial ceremonies depend on the Judge's docket and timelines. You can learn about the type of ceremonies here. https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-12-part-j-chapter-6
  5. Name changes are linked to the Oath ceremony. Ceremonies are of two types Judicial( Judge administers the oath) and Non Judicial(USCIS official administers the oath) . Name changes can be allowed in Judicial ceremonies only which are far and few in between. Most ceremonies are non judicial . If you like to change your name , be prepared to wait for your Judicial oath ceremony.
  6. Look at one of my earlier response for this answer . Had answered an exact same question couple of months back.
  7. Could you please tell us about the evidence of the emergency that you needed to show. I am assuming this the Seattle Passport Agency ?
  8. 😁🀞 . There is little one can do other facing whatever comes at them . My only hope is that we are done with everything that day and we can close this chapter. 😁
  9. I am not sure how this works but I wonder why did they even schedule the interview when they did not have the file ? Dejecting people who have come with positive mental aspiration in this way is downright cruel.
  10. The days of the individual interviews like we see the older videos has passed, will become the minority going forward. While the USCIS has not released a lot of photos on the new virtual interview process , but I assume its more like a barebones office cubicle with high separators , a drawer , a fixed tablet and a headset . I also visualize many adjacent cubicles and a rather noisy call center like atmosphere where lots of people anxiously facing their interviewer and answering questions rather loudly and crisply. The people are all sitting and given the high walls cannot see each other , but they can hear each other and it can be distracting. The bottleneck here is the admin who has to run around these folks sending and receiving documents.
  11. It looks like a huge expansion in virtual interview capability is the reason behind speeding up of the scheduling process for Seattle . Virtual interviews do not need any offices , they can be done in small cubicles which means a lot of interviews can happen at the same time . Also this will eventually balance wait times across the country as officers from remote locations can interview applicants. I have a feeling that the majority of us will face a virtual interviewer.
  12. A lot of folks are scheduled in August . Please write up your experiences when you get a chance .
  13. Google is your friend . Biometrics are valid for 15 months. If it has been longer than that they would need to be refreshed. Its documented policy. https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-12-part-b-chapter-2
  14. Our Biometrics were captured after N400 filing on 02/11/22 . I know that biometrics are considered fresh within one year ? 🀞 BTW what time are you scheduled at @Hamilton and why would you need to postpone oath if offered on the same day ( after retaking biometrics ) ?
  15. Congratulations !! So happy for you …. Wait what ? You got scheduled before me ? πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ USCIS never ceases to amaze.
