  1. We are in the same situation. Submitted tax transcripts for 2018 & 2019 and tax return with all supporting documentation as, like you said, the transcript was not yet available. We were DQd and just got the interview letters today for both of my husband's parents. My assumption is that 2021 is not yet required since the deadline for filing is in April therefore what was already submitted is adequate and nothing else needs to be uploaded. I'm hoping someone with knowledge might confirm this?
  2. While the most recent tax return is required, the concern is actually your annual income. If all you sent before was the 2020 tax return, that is not enough to verify this year's expected income and is probably why you got the RFE. I would suggest responding to the RFE by completing a new I-864 listing your current annual income and provide your last few month's pay stubs. The most recent should show your current year-to-date income which by this time should be about $30,000 if you're expecting $40,000 for the year. Highlight the pay date and year-to-date income. I would also include an employment verification letter showing your pay rate, start date, and that the employment is expected to continue. This should be enough to verify that your income is sufficient. Hope that helps!
  3. You don't need to upload the G-1450. Once you are done with the N-400, it will link you to a secure site to enter your credit/debit card information for payment.
  4. This happened to us as well. To this day, I don't know for sure if it was a mistake or if they just do a few random interviews from time to time for some auditing purposes or something! I was called into the Detroit office for an interview on a pending I-130. The interviewer seemed surprised that my husband wasn't with me and double checked the application to make sure we had marked that he had never been to the US and that he would be applying at the embassy overseas. Everything was correct so she asked me a few basic questions, looked at our wedding photos, and approved the application which then went to NVC. Never did find out why the interview happened! I kind of think it was a data entry mistake and they thought he was here in the US. Regardless, he got here and is now a citizen. I hope it goes well for you!
  5. It looks like this was for a K-1 petition. Is that correct? If so, then you should not have to do those steps and, as NVC told you last year, it will just go to the embassy when they are ready to schedule the interview. You should call NVC and confirm they have you in the right category. The steps mentioned are for immigrant visas such as IR-1, CR-1, IR-5, etc. and should not apply to K-1s. Hope you get it straightened out!
