  1. Hi all, My husband would like me to ask. He failed his interview back in Nov by 1 question. He was told he would be rescheduled, but the case has not been touched. Not even showing he failed the first. Last action shows he was sent the interview letter and that is it. They said within 90 days he would get a new appointment. How can he inquire about his case?
  2. Hi, If I failed the test on Nov 18th when could I expect to be rescheduled? Was told that a new interview date would come, but nothing has been touched on the case. It says Interview Scheduled and has the Nov letter attached.
  3. 🤣 no need to worry about an invasion from him. He already wants to go back, but for now he is stuck here for sure. Sorry his exact answer was freedoms like religion. We are just going to make sure he says them exactly how they are written in the practice test.
  4. I agree. When he told me what he said about the US vs United States I was a little concerned. He didn't mark him wrong on anything about it, but just to call him out on it I felt was rude. I am thinking it was question 58 and he answered it with the religious freedom intent, but said freedoms like religion. We are going to practice exact terminology from the practice test. The lawyer is a good idea since I can't be in there.
  5. Sorry I was using the wrong pronouns. I asked because when he came out he said the officer told him to make another appointment. I was like they will make it right? He wasn't sure. No he didn't. He said it exactly how I wrote it. I will let him know to answer how it is stated in the practice. He was getting 95+ on it. I am thinking it is what Marieke said above. He wasn't answering them how they appear in the practice test. When I helped a friend years ago on this test I definitely was terrible at it. I am much better now. No, I am thinking my husband mispronounced the name of the guy. Like badly. We took a lot of time trying to practice the name and I think because of that he remembered that name and slaughtered it.
  6. Thank you. Yes I will need to figure out which one is ours.
  7. Yeah he took the practice test multiple times and always got 95+% I also practices with him and at most he would only get a couple wrong. I looked at 58. He said Religious Freedom which is an answer. Do you think he wanted more than one answer? Thank you all for helping. Just want to work with him so he is ready next time.
  8. Thank you. I will add that to his test to make sure he names them all next time. He only named one of them, but the guy said name Utah's state Representative he didn't use a plural so I am guessing he thought he could name just one. He didn't apply as a spouse. He applied under the 5 year rule. And the question was not Why did you immigrate. It was why do people immigrate. Feels off to me to have been an answer about himself when it was not spoken that way.
  9. Thank you. I do stress over it. That is just me and who I am. The problem is that some of the questions he was asked were not even on the practice test. I will look at this link and see if they are different. He was asked Why do people immigrate to the US? Like there are a million different answers yet we couldn't find one on line for this one.
  10. My husband failed the civics test. He had to get six out of 10 right. However, most of these questions asked to him were not even in the 2008 practice test. His letter says he can try again. Do we wait for them to assign an interview or do I need to do something to get him a re-take? I am so frustrated. I honestly didn't know he needed to know all this stuff about our own state (my fault I didn't see the test updates section on the USCIS site). He was asked who our state Representative was and he said one of the two so they marked him wrong. The practice test says he only had to name one. I feel like he got a bad guy. He asked him to read something and it said U.S. My husband said United States and the guy was like you know it doesn't say that. It says U.S. He was also asked why do people immigrate to the US? My husband said for freedoms like Religion. That was wrong. If someone could tell me what that answer is supposed to be that would be great because I don't see it anywhere. Feeling so defeated guys. So frustrated. So torn.
  11. Can someone send me a link to which practice test my husband needs to do? He has his citzenship interview on the 18th and I am a little confused on which test to do. We applied this year.
  12. I actually think we will be OK. We will either get the money from the sale of our house or his job will transfer him and he makes about 38,000 pounds a year.
  13. Anyone have a great forum like this about moving to the UK? My husband came to the US as a green card holder in 2014 as my husband. He is now a US/UK passport holder and so is our children. I am an US Passport holder. Looking to see if there is more info than what is on the UK site on guides and forums on how he can apply for me from the US.
  14. I will get the above information and have his start the FOIAs. I don't know the answers as I am a friend of the Uncle. My understanding is he only crossed the one time EWI. Obtained his TPS and stayed until he left. He only left the US the one time. He was not caught and sent back at all. Entered the one time, got his TPS, left without renewing any papers and TPS has since exp from what I understand. He just went back on a plane and never came back to the US. I cannot confirm if he had AP, but his papers have since exp from my understanding.
