My I-129F for a K1 and K2 visa for my fiancee who lives in Russia was NOA2 on Feb 15, 2024. I sent a public inquiry to the NVC a few days ago and received an email yesterday from the NVC with my case number showing the case is being assigned to Warsaw because it starts with WRW. Poland is not issuing Schengen visas to Russian citizens. We would like to transfer the case to Almaty, Kazakhstan. Can anyone assist me with what I need to do? Do I need to wait to be contacted by the NVC to say we are Documentarily Qualified? What does that even mean? As of now Warsaw has not received our case file I believe it's still being created. I need an invoice ID to go along with the case number to create the account on the CEAC website. I do not have that yet. Do I need to fill out both DS-160 before or after I request the transfer and will I be forced to fill out the DS-160 again if it's transferred from Warsaw to Almaty? I'm just really confused about what to do. How long to wait etc. Should I wait until Warsaw receives the case file and then transfer it or have it transferred before then? I've found a few limited resources on this website about it but I still want to make sure I'm doing things correctly before I move forward.

This thread and surrounding posts were helpful but still left me confused.

My passport is due to expire in a year. Since I am getting a 3 year Tourist Visa, I don't want my passport to expire before the Visa.

What I am wondering is how long the actual processing time is for non-expedited processing. I would prefer not to pay the $60 if it is not necessary.

On the other hand, I have to get the passport, then get the Visa which will take another month at least. We don't have tickets yet, as we wait until after the Visa is in place first.

Has anyone recently renewed their passport using the non-expedited service?

Hi everyone

Feb 26 we sent i-485, i-131, i-765 and g-1145 to Elgin lockbox. Feb 28 it was delivered and received by Mendoza. Still didn't hear back anything. Check was not cashed. Yesterday i called USCIS, they say they don't have my application in the system.

My k1 visa expires on 15 march.

I tried to google if person with name Mendoza works with USCIS and found that many people don't hear anything back if it received by Mendoza.

I checked address and it shows Chase bank building.

I checked all forms again and found that for all forms i sent only 2 photos.

then i found that USCIS recommended not to use staple and i used staples for each form.

and i wanted to change my last name but in all forms i wrote my maiden name because i thought it needs to match my name in my passport

I am afraid that my package got lost and soon ill be out of status. Is there anything I can do? If it didn't get lost and I send new package with changed last name can i cancel first?

I-130 (F3) just filed. Processing time - 2 months. Is it possible?

Greetings,

A US citizen who I know filed I-130 for their married son 2 weeks ago. The beneficiary and his family are in the US legally. They came here with a parole under Uniting for Ukraine program. The receipt indicated their classification is 203 a3 which is correct. I just helped them create an account online and found that the system says the processing time is 2 months. The screenshot is attached.

The petitioner has already filed I-130 for their son in 2014 (F2B preference) when she was an LPR. She became a USC in 2018 and the preference changed to F1 automatically. I-130 was approved in 2020. However, the petitioner's son got married before she became a USC. VJ members told me at that time that there was nothing that could be done because the petition was invalid the moment he got married and they had to file a new I-130 and wait for 10+ years.

So, based on what I wrote, how is it possible that the system says the estimated time is 2 months? I know the estimated time is most often incorrect by several months, but it shouldn't be years.
