My husband and I live in Canada and I am the US citizen. Our case has been going on for about 10 years but Finally we used an attorney and filed an i601 hardship waiver that got approved in 3 months. We just got notified last week. My concern now is will they require me to be employed in the US before they issue the visa? We had a consular interview a few years ago and they mentioned we need an approved waiver and I need job in us to show my intentions to return.

Getting a job there while I'm sitting in Canada is not so easy especially during covid.

Hi everyone. I had interview on November 4,2020 .CO kept my passport and told me my case needs additional processing and gave me 221(g) and domestic violence paper . She told me they will contact me if they need any additional document.is that positive sign that she kept my passport ?. I had to update few things in Ds-260. So CO unlocked DS-260 and told me to update there, I did the same day and emailed confirmation page to embessy.

I uploaded everything on CEAC before I went for interview e.g chat history for 3 years , boarding passes , tickets, tons of pictures with family and friends, affidavit from my wife s and my family and friends , western union receipts, gifts receipts, married jointly tax return 2020, ITIN ,joint electricity and gas bills , proof my wife s name change on her all documents. time spent together is 4 months.
*Age age more 15 years

We submitted and collected all proofs we could do. Still she gave me 221(g). Since 2 days Our case status shows refused . We are so worried and mentally exhausted . Are there chances of getting visa ? Any advice would be highly appreciated
* Plz no negative comments
interview location: Kyrgyz Republic

Delayed Visa Issuance: Case in A.P since 2018 March, Assistance Required

Greetings from the core of my heart!
My uncle in the U.S has sponsored my dad, since I was under 21 in 2018, I was able to travel with them. There was the issue of my 2 elder brothers who are above 21. At the time of our interview they calculated the total time and my brothers were granted an expedited visa and they had there interview. Our case went in A.P.

In AUG 2019 our case went to expiring soon and we were shocked about it. We emailed U.S embassy Islamabad and told them that it wasn't our fault since we are unable to do anything about it.

We received an email stating for a new medical and sent it to U.S embassy via accepted courier. In Sept we received an email and they wanted us for oath and a new set of fingerprints.

We had our interview on 12 December 2019. The counselor officer told us that we are issuing you a visa and congratulations. The total time of visa was upto January 20th 2020. Because my dad's passport was expiring on 15 March 2020 that is why we had a short time. We were given an option that if we want to extend our visa date upto April 1st 2020, renew your dad's passport. So we did it back in December 18th 2019. I emailed them 10 times but had no response from them and then the corona started and lockdown was imposed and still no news from the U.S Embassy.

I wanted to ask if there is something to be done by us? or how much more are we suppose to wait.

THANK-YOU!

Someone just posted that DS5535 is sent to Washington DC for security clearance from the embassy where the interview was conducted

is this true?

if so, can I assume process would be faster if it not sent to DC & kept in embassy country for security clearance with agencies?
