I-134 question

Hello,

We received our NOA2 in late August. Based on other timelines, I'm estimating that her interview in Rio is going to take place in early/mid November. She hasn't received Packet 3 yet, but I'm wondering if it's safe to start working on the I-134 and supporting evidence (employer letter, bank statements, tax forms etc), in September? Anyone know how long the I-134 and supporting evidence is valid for? I'd hate to have them say everything is out of date because it's a few months old. Thanks!

According to the info we've gotten from the consulate (and by we, I mean the other Brazilian applicants and myself):

GENERAL INFORMATION - According to information gotten from the consulate:

- the medical and the I-134 (and supporting documents) are good for 1 year. The police certificates are also good for year (even if the certificates bring another 'expiracy' date)

You'll see that piece of info here and lots of other tips: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/inde...0De%20Janereiro

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

You may want to call NVC to see what the status of your petition, I have called them a few times about our petition, it was NOA2 a few days befor your's and is still being worked on at NVC.

The number Is 603-334-0700 Have your case number and date of birth of your Fiancee handy, you wont be on hold for very long with them.

I would prepare the I-134 after you get notice from NVC that they sent it on to the Consulate.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Cool, thanks for the information. I will call the NVC and Rio late next week. I'm sure I already have a case number, and it may be in Rio by the end of next week too. Sounds like it's safe to kick off the I-134 right now though.

I got the employer letter, and started working on the information going on the i-134, and rounded up the tax stuff well ahead of the interview date because none of the information was going to change. But you don't want to wait too long to get the information from your financial institutions. It took awhile to get that information and an officer to sign it.

Yes.

The I134 is valid for one year.

Also,

I´d really like to hear from people with their interview scheduled, what exactly you´re brimgimg as a financial evidence.

Apart from the Tax Return, what else will you bring?

Apart from the Tax Return, what else will you bring?

tax returns for 3 years (including w-2's), most recent mortgage statement to show amount owed on house, county tax appraisal paper to show estimated value of house, bank statement of how much deposited in the past year, and statement from employer stating amount made in one year (without overtime), how long i've been with the company and what my job title is.

Don't they require one year only of tax return?

I'm bringing 2005's tax return with w-2, pay stubs, employment letter, bank account information, house and car deeds.
