Hey everybody? I have a quick question on the issue of I-130 supporting documents from the list below.

Some people are telling me that they need to be translated and notarized photo copies, some say they need to be translated and notarized certified by the foreign ministry copies issued by the according authority and some say just plain copies.

WHICH ONE IS IT???

OH AND I READ SOMEWHERE THAT 9. Copy of beneficiary’s birth certificate and passport IS NOT NEEDED ANY MORE IS IT TRUE?

THANK YOU SO MUCH I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO WITHOUT YOUR HELP!

I do not believe with the I-130 it is required .... If I am not mistaken, the original will be requested by NVC however.

That is not required. Just put in the Marriage certificate, emails, pictures etc. to prove the marriage. I didn't use any affidavids and was just fine.

When we sent our I-130 off we only included our marriage certificate for proof of the marriage...no photos, no pics, no emails...I think that evidence is expected at interview phase of this process...

9. Birth certificate and copy of the beneficiary's passport, is it still needed?

On Monday I will call USCIS and ask them, but I am pretty sure I will not get a definite answer.

Thank you all for the support and help!

When we sent our I-130 off this is what was included:

Completed I-130 form

Completed G-325a forms (1 for me,USC and 1 for my wife)

Original copy of marriage certificate (translated and stamped with offical seal) this is easy to get an original copy of, why not send original

Official copy of my birth certificate (USC) (again, this is easy to get another copy of)

(2) passport pics...1 of me and 1 of her

I also included, but was not required to, a notorized copy of my passport bio page and new jersey drivers licsense, we DIDN"T send any avidavits, pics, emails or any other supporting evidence of our marriage besides the translated marriage certificate...I didn't even include a cover letter....if all else fails, there is a check list of required documents to send on the instruction pages of the I-130...pics and emails and avidavits are more for the interview....good luck
