6/28/2009 - Nick sent a message in Mingle2 after reading my profile and seeing that I like to travel. He wanted to know the places I've been to. I told him I have plans of going to Singapore/Indonesia in August and he said he's planning to go to Taipei on the same month

7/1/2009 - Nick and I became friends in Myspace and Facebook

7/11/2009 - first call in Skype (till the wee hours of the morning)
7/13/2009 - first video call in Skype
7/15/2009 - Start of daily emails using Gmail while we are both at work
7/18/2009 - My upcoming trip got cancelled. One drunken night, he mustered the guts to ask me if I want meet up in Taipei and have a vacation
7/20/2009 - What the heck. Going with a stranger to a strange place? I made up my mind to go have a vacation with him. I trusted my guts and know we'd have a grand time
7/27/2009 - Discovered Gmail chat @ work
8/14/2009 -8/21/2009 - He came from Okinawa,Japan. I came from Manila. We met halfway! The bond we shared online and the connection is still the same now that we're physically together. Most amazing week of vacation in Taipei
8/24/2009 - 9/4/2009 - Nick had to go for 2 week Range training (no internet at Camp Kinser!
) He sneaks to the library for a few minutes to send me a random message and let me know how he's doing
9/4/2009 - He finally was able to go online and we talked about how we missed each other. First time we said "i love you" to each other (deep inside we both know we have special feelings for each other. we just dont have the guts to admit it)
9/5/2009 - He proposed in Skype
12/14/2009 - Nick's vacation in Manila to meet the family
12/21/2009 - Family Vacation in Tali Beach, Nick asked my dad for my hand and told him about our future plans -- after an hour grilling dad agreed! yippee! He went down on his kness and gave my ring.
12/22/2009 - He went back to the US for his new & last station - Camp Pendleton in San Diego, CA
8/19/2010 - Our most awaited vacation, Nick came back to the Philippines. It has been a long 8 months!
8/21/2010 - Travelled to HongKong & Macau and had a great time shopping and exploring the culture and sights!
8/26/2010 - Travelled to Boracay and lived a beach bum life for 6 days
9/1/2010 - Nick went back to the States at least this will the last time we'll be apart)

Our Story
It may seem like your typical boy meets girl online story. Well yeah it is :-)
But more than the stereotype, it really is is just your typical love story. A boy and a girl who fell in love despite the barriers. We are kindred spirits separated by thousands of miles.
Never in my life would I have ever figured that I would be in a long distance relationship. But, you never know what life has in store for you when you least expect it.
Risking opening up my heart to someone far away has been well worth it. It has been a roller coaster ride. We had our ups and downs but we are holding on strong and getting on with the flow.
Being far away from each other is a big challenge so how do we try to make it interesting and as normal as possible? :) We talk daily, chat, leave little messages for each other to see when we wake up, play interactive online games, watch youtube videos at the same time, download the same movies and watch it at the same time, play silly q&a games, sleep with our laptops beside each other with our headsets and webcams on :-)
He is my bestfriend, my soulmate, my rock, and the love of my life. I will wait forever to be with him. :-)
