  1. But the forum title says AOS from work, student, and tourist visas - I am family based AOS
  2. Hi, We filed concurrent I-130 and I-485 as spouse of US citizen from inside the US last year. It's been 12 months now and the I-130 status still shows "Case was received and Receipt number sent) - When we did cognressional inquiry the answer was that the application is pending background security check! They did not disclose why, our lawyer says this is abnormal. We are thinking of what to do next? I am already in the US and travel in and out wth advance parole, I had before B1/B2 visa, I never faced any issues of travel. Q1/ What can we do next? Q2/ Does ombudsman request helps? Q3/ If we ask for my file under the FOIA will it delay my case? Q4/ If we do a mandamus lawsuit will it help? the lawyer says they will deny you because you did not gvie them enough time to finish their secuirty check. Short info about me: European citizen with middle eastern background working in hi tech field. If anyone has similar experience like this please share. Thank you
  3. Why? Only re-entry permit and refugee travel document require you to be in the states when you apply, not the advance parole. Also I will return before expiry of the current one and wait for the new one.
  4. Thank you - indeed I will return before expiry, is just I will send the application signed papers per post from abroad as I am traveling.
  5. Hello I have a valid advance parole for 1 year as. I am awaiting my adjustment of status, I would like to start early enough to re-new my travel document since 6 months already elapsed: 1- Can I submit a new I-131 application 6 months in advance before expiry of my current advance parole? 2- Can I fill in and submit the new I-131 form while I am travelling outside the US with my current advance parole? Thank you
  6. Hi How long it takes for I-131 background check and preprocessing these days from NBC? Thanx
  7. Hi Planning a travel outside the US and back with my US spouse with advanced parole document. 1- Wanted to know how is your experience with the immigration officers at the airports (especially. NYC, Atlanta, Boston, DC)? 2- Shall we split me and my spouse when joining the. queue ( US citizens vs non US citizens) or we stay in one queue? Thanks
  8. good news, turned out the card was in post but not checked by the lawyer staff.
  9. Does reporting him to the bar brings results? Also if I hire a new attorney to take over the case he should handover all file documents to the new layer.
  10. So it dfoes not solve my issue what does that mean? My attorney can confiscate my card and pretend he does not have it and I cannot do anything about it? Live forever like this with no card?
  11. 1. As I said I already contected him and he says he does not receive cards 2. This means I cannot now change my lawyer or even take over the case myself?
