  • Our Story
I met my Fiancé through YouTube back in November 2007 when I commented on his amazing Fullmetal Alchemist AMV (anime music video). We have been talking about anime since my comment on his video on Youtube through MSN with all our friends online (we first started as friends then became bf/gf in August 22 2008.

We had our first physical meeting on March 3rd 2009. I went to go visit him in Tyler,Tx which I was a nervous wreck about but my fiancé made the visit very relaxing which put my mind as ease :) and since then I would visit him every 3 months even if it was just for a few days by just going to the movies or just lying down watching our fav anime series.

On January 2013 when I went to go visit him for the 24th time since the first time lol we went out for sushi and out of nowhere he proposed to me which made me the happiest girl on earth <3 .

After a lot of difficulties we learned about the K1 fiancé visa and as of April 2015 we are starting the process of spending the rest of our lives together <3.

  1. i got my passport on 10/21/22 (on my bday) but i never got my certificate back and it's now been 3 weeks, I am unsure what to do
  2. Question, did you receive ur citizenship certificate with passport together or?
  3. I believe u call USCIS and speak to Tier 2 to see what is going on, also it may show ur oath ceremony on ur login USCIS as well.
  4. For the citizenship I believe it was only $750 and you just have to show proof of 3 years of marriage …if you have been married for 3 years or had ur green card for 5 years you can apply for citizenship.
  5. They are very easy nothing to worry about , here are the questions they may ask, I feel if I can pass anyone can
  6. Mine said 13 months , but my whole n400 process was literally 9 months. it all depends how busy your office is as I see people still waiting since the time I filed.
  7. Congrats on ur passport, can I ask how many weeks did it take for u to get it ? And did they provide your citizenship certificate back?
  8. Congrats on your oath ceremony, also make sure ur stuff is updated on the excel sheet . as for your question sadly they won’t be able to they will be in a separate room and they will meet u outside when you are done.
  9. It is a long wait , from beginning to the end of my journey it took 7 1/2 years from K1 to Citizenship. the wait is long , but if the love is there your patients will conquer .
  10. No prob, wish someone told me lol 😆, cause when I did mine I looked like a hot mess cuz my alarm in my hotel didn’t go off so I had no time to do my hair or anything . I assumed it wouldn’t have mattered since they take a picture of you at the interview and I thought that’s what they would be using but nope lol 😆,
  11. Mine took exactly 9 months , but that could be cause they used my old biometrics. Also when u take that pic I’m the biometrics make sure to look good if you like cause that’s the pic they are gonna use on your certificate.
  12. Hey December Filers! today I had my oath ceremony and I am happy I no longer have to do interviews and pay anymore to USCIS ❤️ . it was a simple ceremony , my ceremony was set for 10:30 so I got to the location by 10am, they let us in at 10:30, got in a line of 2 where the security tells us to get our letter ready and to provide our 10 year green cards. Sadly, I lost my green card back in July so if anyone has the same issue just make sure you bring in a police report and a form of ID such as a drivers license . Once got to that part they told us to go in a line where we provide our paper to them as well and they said once the ceremony is done I come back to the same line and get my actual certificate. The ceremony took literally an hr to start and 15 mins to finish. After that I went back to my line , got my certificate and me and my husband went back home. I would say this is the end of my journey , but I feel once I get my passport and update my SSN than I feel all the waiting is done lol. all in all I am happy the part till the oath ceremony is done and I wish nothing but the best for everyone still waiting and I will update later on with the passport process.
