  • Our Story
My fiance and I have been together for 9 years since I was 15 yrs old and he was 16 yrs old I am now a teacher and a graduate pursuing my master's degree. I am capable of getting married and am financially stable, my fiance works in construction, his father and my father grew up together. We went to the interview with all the proof pictures, phone bill with all calls made, western union slips, plane tickets, pictures, and love letters also an affidavit of support. They never asked me for anything she never asked me for anything!! She had been reading the letter I sent out about our relationship with the petition. She approved him instantly after 2 or 3 questions she asked stating why didn't we get married in santo domingo? Because we wanted the rest of my family who cant visit to meet him. What do you do for a living? I am a teacher and he works in construction. When did we meet? July 7, 2002. After that she said approved but she said the petition would expire soon and she said that the visa would expire?? I said inside of me how can a visa expire if we never received the visa??? She meant the Notice of Action on August 6, 2011 she said she would print out the visa as soon as possible. She asked her supervisors and said ok yes it doesn't matter if it expires I can extend it but you have to wait under Administrative Processing!!! I didn't know what that was but it was better than being denied!! I was happy we gave them all the paper work and his passport and paid domex with the green slip. I call the National Visa Center and they tell me call back in october or november for further information or further steps!!! Today has been a month still nothing and how can that be this is horrible a nightmare I can sleep I feel sad and depressed. He is approved and I don't understand what is going on??? :lost: :mur:
